Our original company Flatmats, began producing our products in August 2001 and we experienced our first sales success at the Glengarry Highland Games in Maxville. From that point on we developed new designs, and products that continued to attract more customers. From the early beginnings of attending Highland games and shopping mall kiosks, we finally grew to a level where we now have a full service Scottish and Irish Store in Ottawa, Ontario.

Because of the popularity of our products and service, we not only have expanded our store but have begun planning for a chain of kiosks across Canada and the United States that will carry our custom designed products in a variety of shopping malls. The overwhelming interest by people to discover their ancestry has generated a rapidly growing niche market, that has allowed knowledgeable and dedicated companies to service this desire for family name history and information.
